A lot of homeowners around Fall Creek deal with the same problem - bare soil against the foundation, grass creeping where it shouldn't, and no real separation between the lawn and the house. It looks unfinished. And every time it rains, you're dealing with erosion and mud splash against the siding. That's exactly what this job was about fixing.

Here's what we were working with: foundation beds that needed a complete redo. We came in, shaped out the beds around the entire perimeter of the home, and poured continuous concrete edging to lock everything in place. That curved, poured edging is the backbone of the whole setup - it gives you a permanent, clean line that doesn't shift, rot, or need replacing like plastic or steel edging tends to do over time.

Once the edging was set, we brought in decorative rock to fill the beds. Different areas got different rock - lighter pea gravel in some zones, a darker mixed river rock in others. Both do the same job: suppress weeds, keep moisture from splashing up on the siding, and give the home a finished, intentional look. No bark mulch means no yearly topdressing. It's a low-maintenance setup that holds up through Wisconsin winters without much intervention.

The beds wrap around all four sides of this home, including the utility side with the AC units and the covered entry area out back. Getting the edging to flow consistently around corners, utility equipment, and existing concrete - that takes some planning. We chalked out the layout before any digging started, which you can see reflected in how the final lines came together. Nothing looks like an afterthought.

This kind of project is a solid investment for any homeowner who's tired of fighting the foundation beds every season. Rock and concrete edging basically takes that chore off the table for years. If you've got similar situation around your home in the Fall Creek or Eau Claire area, this is the kind of work we do regularly.
